Mark Williams is recruiting for an Applications Security Architect for a prestigious entity in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security architecture and principles for applications
- Evaluate and enhance existing application security frameworks and standards
- Conduct comprehensive threat modelling and risk assessments
- Identify application vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
- Work closely with development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC
- Align application security strategies with broader enterprise security goals
- Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Provide developers with training on secure coding and application security practices
- Stay updated on emerging security trends, tools, and threats to enhance application security

Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 7+ years in application security, secure software development, or DevSecOps
- Expertise in secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and application risk assessments
- Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., static and dynamic analysis, penetration testing)
- Strong understanding of OWASP Top Ten, NIST frameworks, and cloud security principles
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR and HIPAA
- Finally, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar certifications (preferred)
